The Oarsman launches guest chef series

The bistro pub and wine bar in Marlow has launched a special guest chef series.

The Oarsman, a contemporary bistro pub and wine bar in Marlow, has launched a special guest chef series.

Founders James McLean and Nigel Sutcliffe have invited friends and top chefs from pubs, wine bars and restaurants across the UK to create one-off collaborative menus with head chef Scott Smith.

The line-up includes Ben Tish, Simon Bonwick and Daniel Smith. Each chef has been given free rein on their menus and have worked with Smith to use the best of the local and seasonal produce, as well as many signature preparations used in their own kitchens.

Kicking off the series on Tuesday 28 February will be Bonwick of the newly opened Dew Drop Inn in Hurley. He is also known for his time as chef patron at Michelin-starred The Crown at Burchetts Green.

Tish, now chef director of the London-based pub and hotel group Cubitt House, will be cooking on Tuesday 28 March.

Daniel Smith, the brains behind the award-winning Fordwich Arms in Kent, will complete the series.
