London's Blue Boar prepares for game night

Sally Abé's Westminster site, Blue Boar Pub, is to host an exclusive game dinner on Wednesday 24 November, the first themed event for the new central London venue.

Crafted by general manager George Dean and the former Harwood Arms chef (pictured above), the speciality menu is a celebration of wild game, showcasing British produce and the abundance of this season’s high quality game meat, with each course coupled with an optional whiskey pairing.

For £65 a head, guests can enjoy dishes such as pheasant sausage roll, with spiced plum ketchup; salad of roast red legged partridge with barley and Wiltshire truffle; and a Hunters Pie, served with celeriac mash, cavolo nero and a rosemary and juniper gravy. To finish, a warm chocolate and whisky mousse is served with brownie pieces and honeycomb.

Set within the heart of the Westminster village, Blue Boar Pub is a modern take on a classic London pub at Conrad London St James.
