Anglian Country Inns opens 10th venue

White Horse Holme-next-the-Sea has joined the Anglian Country Inns estate.

White Horse Holme-next-the-Sea has become the 10th addition to the Anglian Country Inns portfolio.

Situated in the village of Holme-next-the-Sea on the north Norfolk coast, the Grade II-listed pub has undergone a substantial transformation, opening with a fresh new look and reinstating the original features of the property.

Outside there is a spacious south facing garden with a fire pit, more dining areas, a pétanque area and a designated children's playground.

Will Pryke, general manager, and Ian Daw, head chef, have designed new menus to support local produce from farmers, fishermen and Norfolk suppliers.

"I feel very honoured to have been in at the beginning of this amazing adventure," says Daw. "To me, this isn't just another pub in Norfolk; it's a testament to the community, its people and its produce. Will and I have poured our hearts into ensuring that authenticity shines through, and we're confident our guests will taste the difference."

On the menu

Guests of White Horse Holme-next-the-Sea can expect Brancaster Oysters, Cromer Crab Crumpets, Tim Allen’s Pork T-Bone Chop, Sandringham Farm Mutton Chops and Billy Wards Lobster with Garlic and Herb Butter. The seasonal menu will also serve weekly specials based on supplier availability and there’s always Fish & Chips on a Friday.

"Keeping the community at the heart of the pub will be key to its success," says Pryke. "Like locals Carrie and Martin Harvey who were the first to join me for a drink across the bar, they were also the first at The White Horse, Brancaster Staithe all those 27 years ago! We've recruited a fantastic team of local talent who share our passion for creating a memorable experiences. At White Horse Holme-next-the-Sea, our ethos of making people happy is at the forefront of everything we do."

Anglian Country Inns is a family-owned and run hospitality group based in East Anglia, led by managing director James Nye.
