Booker launches new business function

Booker has announced the launch of a new business function called Chef Central.

Booker, the food and drink wholesaler, has announced the launch of a new business function called Chef Central.

Developed to serve multi-site, regional and national account businesses, Chef Central will utilise the existing Booker Group infrastructure to be a low cost, high service option in the sector for its new customers.

Having been in trial for 12 months, a core range of products have been identified to offer customers from any sector the assortment they would need. Using Booker and Best Food Logistics network to move customer orders across the UK, customers can benefit from a permanent core range supplemented with their specific requirements.

Full account management is also on offer with EDI integration available and full allergen support.

“At its heart, Chef Central has been developed in response to customer feedback,” says John Dolan, sales director of Chef Central. "Larger customers have been asking us to help them. They have seen Booker supporting the independent sector strongly by helping them to offset rising costs across their business with a constant need for value, quality, availability, consistency and customer service. We believe that our scale will give us a unique advantage to deliver all of this for the customer."
