Chickpea growth continues with seventh site

Chickpea Group has taken on The Manor House in the village of Ditcheat.

A Wiltshire-based pub group continues to grow at pace, following the announcement of a seventh site acquisition.

Chickpea Group, led by Tommy Tullis and brother and sister Jordan and Ethan Davids, has taken on The Manor House in the village of Ditcheat near Bruton. The pub will be the group's first in the county of Somerset and its seventh opening in four years.

The pub has been closed for the past six months, with Chickpea now beginning a two-month refit and refurbishment.

On reopening, there will be seven bedrooms upstairs, a Chickpea pub menu inside and a separate pizza kitchen serving sourdough pizzas from the group's nole concept.

There will be around 50 covers inside the main pub, and a further 40 in what will be the nole pizza kitchen.

"We are so excited to head west and get stuck into the Somerset food and drink scene," says Ethan. "The Manor House is a truly beautiful pub with cosy nooks and plenty of outside space. It offers everything we look for in a Chickpea country boozer. The pub has always been incredibly well-supported by the local area, so we hope people are as excited about our plans as we are. We’re buzzing to meet our new locals at the bar – the first one’s on us."
