Stonegate reopens flagship Slug & Lettuce

A flagship Slug & Lettuce has reopened in Deansgate, Manchester.

A flagship Slug & Lettuce has reopened in Deansgate, Manchester, following a £680,000 investment from owners Stonegate Group.

The business has said that the new look signals the evolution of the brand. The redesign follows the recent launch of new menus with cocktails and small plates at the core.

The investment in the Grade II-listed building includes a new back bar, bespoke murals, lighting, booths and feature tabletops in marble and terrazzo.

"We’re delighted that Deansgate has been chosen as the first Slug & Lettuce venue to experience redesign aligned with the evolved brand vision," says Kate Wilton, operations director at Slug & Lettuce. "This brand innovation will allow us to elevate our services even further, ensuring an advanced guest experience."

The new booths are designed as VIP areas, while the bar’s colour-changing LED lighting helps create ambience according to the time of day. There is also a supersized selfie phone photo booth and a butterfly wing backdrop has been installed downstairs for those Instagram photos.

Stonegate Group is the largest pub company in the UK, with a portfolio of over 4,500 sites. Its branded businesses include Slug & Lettuce, Popworld and Be At One, the latter of which has just been announced as a finalist in The Classic Cocktail Competition.
