NQ64 sets its sights on Shoreditch

The arcade bar concept will launch its biggest site to date in east London.

Retro gaming bar concept NQ64 is set to launch its second London site on Old Street in Shoreditch.

The east London venue, opening in May, will be the brand’s biggest yet, with a capacity of up to 450. The 9,000 sq ft bar will also feature a brand new food offering with a partner who is yet to be announced.

Founded in 2019 in Manchester by Andy Haygarth and Matt Robson, NQ64 features lots of neon and graffiti alongside a selection of retro arcade games and classic consoles. The bar serves game-themed cocktails and craft beers.

The brand has expanded across the UK and now has sites in Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham, Cardiff, London, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Newcastle.

"Shoreditch is a location we’ve really wanted to operate in for a long time, so we’re buzzing to open this site," says Robson. "We aim to make our venues a place for gaming fanatics and also for those looking for a great experience on a night out. This is our biggest site yet and we hope it’ll be a great addition to the area. See you in there!”
