NQ64 announces Newcastle as next location
NQ64, the arcade bar and nightlife operation, is set to open in Newcastle.
NQ64, the arcade bar and nightlife operation, is set to open in Newcastle – its ninth venue and first in the North East.
Opening in the former Intermezzo site on Pilgrim Street, the new 3,500 sq ft, 200-capacity bar immediately follows the retro gaming venue's opening in Soho, London, in May.
NQ64’s neon-filled venues combine nightlife experiences with retro games in sites filled with drinking dens full of retro arcades and classic consoles. Its game-themed cocktail menu includes Mad Max, Pacs a Punch and Dr Ro Bev Nik, alongside a selection of craft beers, wine, soft drinks and spirits.
The business, which is backed by industry investors Imbiba, currently operates eight venues across London, Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham, Cardiff, Edinburgh and Glasgow, since launching in Manchester in 2019.
“Being a born and bred Geordie, opening in Newcastle is particularly special for me," says NQ64 co-founder Matthew Robson. "I hope NQ64 will bring a different offering to the city. We specialise in retro gaming and combine it with a banging drinks selection with a backdrop of classic hip hop tunes. See you at the bar!”
