Young's reopens the Hope & Anchor in Brixton

The all-day drinking and dining venue offers seasonal menus, a new Sunday roast offering and an expansive beer garden.

The Hope & Anchor in South London, part of the Young's pub estate, is back in business, following a complete redesign.

Located in Brixton, the all-day drinking and dining venue offers seasonal menus, a new Sunday roast offering and an expansive beer garden.

The revamp, led by Camelot agency, fuses modern detailing with traditional features, from reclaimed tiles and distressed walls in warming terracotta, green and neutral tones to dark oak wood panelling, plush velvet curtains, leather booths and low-back sofa seating.

The garden has been transformed into an alpine winter wonderland in time for the festive season, complete with 13 heated private tiki huts.

Its menus have also had an upgrade, with highlights including Electric brisket croquettes, crispy haddock tacos with pickled fennel and Urfa chilli, smash burgers, chicken parm supreme with torn burrata and marinara sauce, and a Starman Shepherd’s pie with clotted cream mash.

At the new and improved bar, guests can choose from a selection of craft beers alongside wines from across the globe and a varied range of cocktails.

The Rebel Room, the late-night space upstairs, boasts a private bar, dance floor and lounge area. The entire space is available for private hire, or a smaller section can be cordoned off to create a VIP section to accommodate more intimate gatherings.
