Roxy Leisure rebrands and restructures

The group behind Roxy Ball Room is changing its name to Professionals at Play.

Roxy Leisure Holdings, the group behind Roxy Lanes, Roxy Ball Room and King Pins, is changing its name to Professionals at Play.

The move creates a new group brand for its competitive socialising businesses Roxy Leisure and Pins Leisure, which comprise the above concepts, as well as new family-focused brand Star Pins, due to be launched later this year.

The rebrand to Professionals at Play also sees a management restructure, with former managing director of Pins Leisure Colin Sadler becoming chief operating officer.

Sadler will oversee group operations, commercial, marketing and the people teams during the next phase of growth.

"We are really proud of our growth so far, and see the launch of Professionals at Play as the next step in this journey," says Matt Jones, CEO. "We have a hugely talented team who are instrumental in creating, rolling out and running our concepts. Our new parent company name gives our brands a clear home along with a base for creating more exciting offers and concepts."

Star Pins and star players

The first Star Pins venue is due to open in Coventry in November, offering ten pin bowling and other games including mini golf, darts, shuffleboard, ice-free curling, American pool, shooting and ping pong. The 32,000 sq ft site will also include an arcade and full food and drink offer, featuring a desserts emporium.

Further group-wide appointments for Professionals at Play see Ben Warren become commercial director, Adam Lazenby step up to head of people operations and Joel Mitchell take on the role of marketing director.

Founded by brothers Matt and Ben Jones Roxy Leisure and Pins Leisure have experienced rapid expansion over the last decade, with 21 sites across 12 cities. The group has further sites planned within the next 12 months in Bristol, Coventry, Glasgow, Belfast, Leeds and London.
