Cat & Wickets make number of appointments
Ex-England cricketers Harry Gurney and Stuart Broad have made a quartet of appointments.
The pub company owned by ex-England cricketers Harry Gurney and Stuart Broad has recently made a quartet of appointments.
Jack Whitehead has been promoted to head of operations at The Cat & Wickets Pub Company, having previously been the general manager at the company’s Tap & Run in Upper Broughton.
Whitehead will now oversee the day-to-day running of both pubs owned by Cat & Wickets, the other being The Griffin Inn, Swithland. He will manage team recruitment and support, and lead on large scale projects such as future pub acquisitions.
"This year will be my fifth year of working for The Cat & Wickets Pub Company, and so it feels like a natural time to step into a new position within the company," he says. "I have loved being the general manager at the Tap & Run and I look forward to now working closely with both pubs in my new position, and any future pubs we acquire."
Movements elsewhere
Elsewhere in the business, Matt Jenkinson has been hired as the new general manager of the Tap & Run.
The pub company has also hired Callum Crisp as chef de partie at The Griffin Inn, following its recent seven-figure renovation, which saw a vast expansion of the current kitchen. Paul Jones has also been hired as head chef at the Tap & Run.
"Very exciting things are happening across both of our pubs, and Stuart and I are so pleased to be bolstering our team to support our growth plans," says Gurney. "Both pubs are not only known for their buzzy atmosphere and great food, but for their incredible team who provide great customer service every single day."
