Punch buys Long Eaton's White Lion
Punch Pubs & Co has acquired The White Lion pub in Long Eaton.
Punch Pubs & Co has added to its growing portfolio with the acquisition of The White Lion pub in Long Eaton.
The suburban pub, which sits just outside of Long Eaton’s town centre, will form a part of Punch’s leased and tenanted estate, and will be ran by operators Ami Sanobar and Darren Paul.
Punch says it has a planned investment to take place in the coming months, with further details to be shared with the community later this year.
"The White Lion is already an excellent pub that sits within the heart of the community," says Punch operations manager Christian Gregory. "I’m excited to embark on this journey with multiple operators Ami and Darren, who are looking forward to getting to know The White Lion family. The team have already been incredibly welcoming, for which we are grateful. There’s a lot of potential in this thriving town pub, so I’m eager to see what the future holds here."
More to come?
Punch says it is continually on the lookout for more quality acquisitions, including packages and single-site opportunities that fit well with its vision and growth plans.
"We are delighted to welcome The White Lion pub into the Punch family," says Andrew Cannons, Punch Pubs & Co's head of estate development and acquisitions. "This is a fantastic community pub with an excellent reputation across the town, and we are looking forward to working alongside the existing staff and our new publican to ensure The White Lion continues to thrive for many years to come."
Punch operates around 1,300 pubs across the UK.
