Pubs celebrate Bib Gourmands from Michelin
Five pubs have received a Michelin Bib Gourmand for 2024.
A number of food-led pubs are celebrating after receiving a dining award from Michelin.
Ahead of the Michelin Guide Ceremony on Monday 5 February, five pubs were named among 20 new businesses to receive a Bib Gourmand for 2024.
Named after Bibendum – the official name of the Michelin Man – the Bib Gourmand highlights hospitality venues offering great quality, great value cooking.
The five pubs to pick up the accolade were The Reindeer in Hoveringham, The Three Horseshoes in Fordham, The Loch & The Tyne in Old Windsor, The Clifton in Bristol and The Bull in Charlbury.
"It is a joy to see 20 restaurants newly awarded the Bib Gourmand in the 2024 edition of The Michelin Guide Great Britain & Ireland," says Gwendal Poullennec, international director of The Michelin Guide. "These are establishments that deserve recognition for their continued commitment to offering affordable, delicious cooking. The generosity and value for money they offer is wonderful to see during these challenging economic times for the restaurant industry."

The Clifton, a neighbourhood spot for those in the titular suburb of Bristol, is run by the Hare and Hounds Group, which has two sites in Wales, one of which was named Wales Pub & Bar of the Year in 2021. The kitchen team serve rustic dishes including some cooked over an open fire.
Loch & The Tyne is part of the Adam Handling (pictured) stable, offering re-worked, traditionally based dishes that represent good value, especially when considering its location.
