Tom Kerridge has opened the doors to The Butcher’s Tap & Grill.

Tom Kerridge has opened the doors to The Butcher’s Tap & Grill on Tryon Street in Chelsea, London.

Following the success of The Butcher’s Tap & Grill in Marlow, Berkshire, which opened in 2017, the second coming of the brand comes in the form of a two-storey, 100-cover, Victorian property just around the corner from Sloane Square.  

The site, formally The Queen’s Head, has been completely re-designed to be a modern version of a traditional pub. Set on two levels, the pub features areas for drinking, eating and celebrating. White and oxblood tiles nod to the London Underground and old bygone butcher’s shops.

Upstairs shows live sport and also features a meat fridge showcasing the premium cuts available from the same suppliers as Kerridge's two Michelin-starred The Hand & Flowers and one Michelin-starred The Coach. Downstairs, via a bespoke timber staircase, there is more booth seating, additional TV screens and views into the open plan kitchen.

The food

Head chef Ian Lovett and his team will be serving a British centric menu of butcher-cuts, burgers, hot dogs and small bites. There is a range of ‘While You Wait’ snacks, which include Sriracha Chicken Wings, Fried Mac ‘n’ Cheese Bites and BT&G Pork Pie Ploughman’s.  

The pub champions a range of premium cuts and daily specials including Pork Tomahawks and T-Bones. Sundays will feature a classic roast from Leg of Lamb to Roasted Blythburgh Pork all served with seasonal vegetables in a giant Yorkshire Pudding with gravy.
