Beckford Group to open first hotel
The Wiltshire and Somerset country inn operator will open Teffont House this autumn.
The Beckford Group, the Wiltshire and Somerset country inn operator, will open its first hotel Teffont House this autumn.
Run by co-founders Dan Brod, Charlie Luxton and Matt Greenlees, Beckford's acquisition will mark a new chapter for the group, which already has The Beckford Bottle Shop and Beckford Canteen in Bath, along with four country inns with rooms.
Teffont House is situated in the historic village of Teffont Evias in Wiltshire’s Nadder Valley.
Sitting in the centre of a valley surrounded by fields and woodland, the site was previously Howard’s House hotel – a traditional stone building originally built in 1623.
The new operation will have 16 en-suite bedrooms, a walled garden (which will grow produce for the kitchen and bar), a new orangery dining room and a mini spa within the grounds.
The Beckford Group's pubs are The Beckford Arms, The Bath Arms, The Lord Poulett Arms and The Talbot.
