Greene King offers free social media training

Greene King has recently been providing social media training to its operators.

Greene King Pub Partners, the leased, tenanted and franchise division of Greene King, has recently been providing social media training to its operators.

The workshops aim to give licensees the skills they need to establish and evolve a social media presence that supports the growth of their pub businesses.

In the free workshops, licensees are introduced to the benefits of using social media and the most effective platforms available to them to promote their pub businesses. The workshop sessions also dive deeper into ‘Google Business Profile’ and utilising tools to get the most out of social media and an online presence, including identifying online audiences.

Partners also learn in the workshops best practice for photography and video to enhance their social media content. At the end of the workshops, partners are then given a 90-day planner with time to plan their social media content in the run up to Christmas and beyond.

“Having a good online presence is now more important than ever," says Wayne Shurvinton, managing director for Greene King Pub Partners. "If you get your social media right, it can help drive footfall and growth for your pub business.

“Through the in-house expertise of our dedicated Learning and Development team, we have created these free workshops to equip our licensees with the tools and understanding they need to deliver a quality social media presence that benefits their businesses.”
