Urban Pubs & Bars has acquired three new venues in London, taking the business to 40 sites in total.

The Nick Pring and Malcom Heap-led business has bought The Queen's Head (formerly the Goose Island site in Shoreditch), Monarchy in Camden Town and The Horseshoe in Hampstead. The latter is where Camden Town brewery began 15 years ago.

“We have been looking at these sites for some time and are delighted to further increase our presence in these attractive locations in east and north London," says Pring.

The additions to the Urban Pubs & Bars portfolio join sites in areas such as Soho, Highgate, Fitzrovia and Kensal Green, among others

“We are excited to enter this new phase of expansion with the acquisition of these three iconic venues," adds Heap. "Their positions are a natural fit with our existing portfolio and we look forward to welcoming their amazing people to the Urban family.”

While no announcement has yet been made about the concepts for these venues, the group are well known for creating a number of different styles of F&B formats, ranging from premium gastropubs and high-end restaurants to city bars and late-night venues.
