MOJO Bar reveals expansion plans
Voodoo Doll has announced its plans to open three new sites over the next 12 months.
Voodoo Doll, the company behind the group of MOJO Bars, has announced its plans to open three new sites over the next 12 months.
Openings will take place in Newcastle and Edinburgh, as well as a new central site in Liverpool.
The new Newcastle bar, located on Newgate Street, is expected to open in late September with a capacity of 250. Liverpool will follow shortly after.
MOJO Edinburgh is expected top open in June 2023. Housed on Rose Street, the bar will have a 200 capacity, a pizza menu and also feature a street café.
“The pandemic meant we had to put a halt on several plans for MOJO and we are so happy that we are now in a position to implement our expansion programme to bring great music, food, cold beer, killer cocktails and friendly staff to cities across the UK," says Martin Greenhow, owner and director of Voodoo Doll. "We are in negotiation with several other units across the country. No city should be deprived of a MOJO.”
The announcement of new sites is just part of a growth strategy that recently saw MOJO Leeds head office become a BIIAB accredited training centre. The company goal is to have all employees across the six MOJO establishments receive their personal licence.
