Stonegate Group has launched a bespoke learning and development programme for Craft Union Pub Company.
Part of Stonegate’s training platform Albert’s Theory of Progression, the new programme, called Elevation, is designed for regional managers, giving them an internal personal and career development programme specifically designed to develop, elevate and enhance their skills and knowledge.
Elevation consists of five modules: Brilliant Coaching, Developing Brilliant Resilience, Brilliant Leadership, Delivering Brilliant Commercial Impact and The Brilliant Communicator. The programme consists of classroom-based development workshops, pre- and post-project work, personal development plans, social media communication groups and over 30 business toolkits.
“Craft Union’s philosophy is putting brilliant pubs back at the heart of local communities," says Lee Woolley, director of learning and organisation development. "Not only do pubs play a vital role in the lives of their customers but the teams and operators play such an important role in nurturing this. This programme gives our regional managers the extra support, skills and behaviours needed to continue this mission.”
Following the acquisition of Ei Group on 3 March 2020 for £1.27bn, Stonegate Group is the largest pub company in the UK. Its portfolio is comprised of 1,270 sites within the managed division and 3,200 leased and tenanted businesses.
The managed pubs division, which employs 13,500 people, is split into Branded and Traditional pubs. Branded is comprised of Slug & Lettuce, Walkabout, Be At One and Venues. Traditional (unbranded) pubs are made up of Proper Pubs, Town Pub & Kitchen, Classic Inns, Common Room and Craft Union.
