Tackle food waste with free online course

WRAP's latest free online course for hospitality professionals that will teach them how to save money by driving down food waste in their businesses.

Guardians of Grub: Becoming a Champion combines learning and skills development with knowledge checks, certificares and evidence-based data reporting.

The 2020 cohort saw food waste reduce between 23 and 38% over eight weeks, with cost savings of between 26 and 37%.

Operators are invited to watch the webinar to find out how they can join the growing number of users already seeing the benefits of Guardians of Grub; Becoming a Champion – where to start, what the benefits are and what difference it can make to business.

“We recommend that all hospitality businesses take a look at the Guardians of Grub resources, do a food waste audit and take steps to reduce possible wastage," says Kate Nicholls, chief executive of UKHospitality.

"Make sure teams are trained using the free Guardians of Grub Becoming a Champion behaviour change course to protect profits and our planet."

"What chefs keen to keep food on plates and out of bins crave is practical, real-world advice, skills and support," adds Juliane Caillouette Noble, managing director for the Sustainable Restaurant Association.

"Guardians of Grub: Becoming a Champion serves that up along with a large helping of data so operators can save money and minimise their impact on the planet."
