Wandsworth to welcome augmented reality concept

Gravity Active Entertainment has announced a new, multi-attraction site opening in Wandsworth this summer.

Gravity Southside will feature eight entertainment experiences for 1,000 guests, set over three floors and covering 100,000 sq ft. 

The experiences include Gravity GT, a multi-level, electric go-kart racetrack; G-Bowl, a 14-lane bowling ally with augmented reality using the latest SPARK technology; Urban Street Golf, an adventure golf experience set upon the backdrop of iconic New York sights; and a digital darts zone with augmented displays guiding players through the game.

An AR Shuffleboard will also be at the venue, as well as an Electric Gamebox, a hyper-immersive, 60-minute adventure; an E-sports gaming arena with games on the latest consoles, paired to state-of-the-art screens and controllers; a nostalgic Funbox arcade; and three bars, including a sports bar and Newton’s - a New York loft style cocktail bar alongside a Japanese street bar and noodle kitchen.

"This project takes active entertainment to the next level with loads of immersive experiences and UK firsts," says Gravity Active Entertainment's founder Michael Harrison.  

"By day it’s the perfect half-day experience for the family or a great place to host a party. By night we will dim the lights, speed up the E-karts, ramp up the music with live performances and let the adults take over. A perfect place to meet friends or host a corporate event."
