The entry deadline for the 2021 National Pub & Bar Awards has been extend by two weeks.
The entry deadline for the 2021 National Pub & Bar Awards has been extend by two weeks, giving busy pub and bar operators some more time to showcase why they think they're running the best venue in their county.
Entries for the 2021 National Pub & Bar Awards will now close on Friday 30 April, as the annual celebration gears up to deliver what could be its most important year yet.
The event, which aims to showcase the UK’s finest pubs and bars on a national scale, will be returning this year to crown the best venues within 94 counties across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
In what could be described as a rollover year, entries for the 2021 National Pub & Bar Awards will combine with those received for the 2020 event, which was unable to take place due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Pub and bar operators can submit their entries online here.
The show must go on
With pubs and bars across the UK either closed or restricted to trading outdoors, Tristan O'Hana, editor of Pub & Bar, explains why an entry for this year's event could make a big difference to venues.
"While the industry starts to find its feet, we believe operators need to be given as much opportunity as possible to reboot and thrive as reopening continues,” says O’Hana. “Now more than ever, pubs and bars need as much support and promotion as they can get – we will do all we can to ensure that every National Pub & Bar Awards winner gets the attention and praise they deserve. Summer trading in 2021 could be the most pivotal occasion the industry has ever encountered, and an award nomination at that time could make a massive difference to footfall. With doors still closed, we hope to see many entries from all of the brilliant businesses out there.”
