Earlswood Bull's Head celebrates sales surge

Thwaites pub The Bull’s Head in Earlswood is celebrating a successful couple of months.

The Bull’s Head in Earlswood is celebrating a hugely successful couple of months, following a refurbishment by owner Thwaites.

Since reopening in April, guests who have visited to check out the revamped space have drank over 24,000 pints at the pub.

The relaunch 10 weeks ago revealed a brand-new outdoor space – The Barn at The Bull’s Head – which includes an outside bar, table tennis and interactive games, a fireplace and seating. Inside, the property saw a new bar installed.

"The reception we’ve received since reopening has completely exceeded expectations," says Lucy Burrows, general manager at The Bull’s Head. "Our customers are at the heart of everything we do and seeing them enjoy the refurbishment means the world to us."

Crunching the numbers

The pub has pulled 24,221 pints in 10 weeks, a 22% increase on the same period last year. It has also sold 6,151 glasses of wine and 962 cocktails. Pinot Grigio Blush and Provence Rosé have been the best-selling wines by the glass.

Using fresh, local ingredients, the inn’s new menu has also proven a success with diners, with 11,904 people visiting The Bull’s Head for food within the first two and a half months of its relaunch.

"The results speak for themselves," adds Burrows. "And how busy we’ve been is a clear signal of the team’s hard work. We’ve a lot of events planned over the next few months, so we look forward to welcoming new and regular faces."
