Jonathon Swaine is to leave his role at Shepherd Neame on 17 April, as the brewer and pub operator announces a reorganisation of the business.
Swaine (pictured), who joined Shepherd Neame in February 2022, has been managing director of pubs for over three years.
However, in the light of the business' decision to reduce the number of its managed houses, Shepherd Neame has confirmed that it plans to reorganise roles and responsibilities to reflect the composition of its pub estate.
These roles will now report to Jonathan Neame, CEO, and Mark Rider, CFO, who will take on added responsibilities.
"The board would like to thank Jonathon for his contribution over the past three years, and for developing our pub business so as to be well positioned for the future," says chairman Richard Oldfield. "We wish him well in his next endeavour."
Shepherd Neame currently operates 288 pubs, of which 219 are tenanted or leased, 67 managed and two are held as investment properties under commercial free-of-tie leases.
