Golf brand Pitch to open in Birmingham and Manchester

Pitch will expand its footprint this year, before heading over seas.

Indoor golf club and lifestyle hospitality brand Pitch has confirmed it will open venues in Birmingham and Manchester.

The new venue in Birmingham will be on Colmore Square, while the Manchester site will be in Goods Yard.

Alongside simulator technology to recreate the experience of real golf, the Pitch concept includes late-night DJs, food and drinks.

"With a rich history and large contingent of modern, forward-thinking residents, Birmingham was an obvious choice to open one of our first venues outside of London and we’re very much looking forward to bringing Pitch to the city next year," says Pitch co-founder and CEO Elliot Godfrey.

Golf and the on-trade

The rise of indoor golf concepts has been pointed to as one of the biggest driving forces behind current all-time high levels of golf participation across a wide range of demographics.

Pitch says that indoor venues are easier to fit into busy social schedules and remove the need to travel out of the city to a local course, unlocking the game for new groups of people.

"We’re thrilled to have secured a location right in the heart of the action, with a huge choice of transport links, accommodation, restaurants and bars a short walk away in every direction," adds co-founder Chris Ingham.

Pitch first launched in the heart of London, between London Bridge and St Paul’s Cathedral, before expanding with two more venues in Soho and Canary Wharf.

There are plans to add another location in Brighton and expand internationally in Melbourne, Australia, and also in the USA.
