Beds and Bars reshuffles as Roberts retires
Beds and Bars will undergo a team reshuffle, following the retirement of Murray Roberts.
One of the leading operators of backpacker hostels, bars and pubs across Europe is to undergo a senior team reshuffle, following the retirement of its managing director Murray Roberts.
With retirement of Roberts, Beds and Bars has restructured its senior team, appointing Luke Knowles as the new CEO, while Keith Knowles the founder steps into the role of executive chairman, supported by Gemma Placey as finance firector and Sophie Herbert as sales and marketing director.
Chris Lambert has been appointed as chief operating officer and Jan Kroezen joins as chief support officer.
Over nearly three decades with the group, the last 10 as MD, Roberts has overseen the expansion of Beds and Bars across cities in Europe, doubling turnover and tripling EBITDA.
"Murray's industry knowledge and leadership has been instrumental in shaping Beds and Bars into the dynamic and thriving organisation it is today," says Keith Knowles. "His wisdom and strategic perspective will still be available in the future to help us navigate the exciting opportunities ahead."
Founded in 1994, Beds and Bars operates 22 sites in the UK and Europe, including the brands Belushi's, Flying Pig and Interpub.
