Proper Pubs launches new recruitment drive

Admiral Taverns’ Proper Pubs has introduced its new ‘Meet the Team’ campaign.

Proper Pubs, the wet-led division of Admiral Taverns, has launched a new initiative to address the nationwide hospitality recruitment issue.

It's 'Meet the Team' campaign aims to provide greater awareness of the opportunities available to run a local, community pub.

Since the end of July, Proper Pubs, which has over 200 sites across England, Scotland and Wales, has been hosting a series of open days at several of its sites across the country. The events are designed to offer insight into running a community pub and to highlight the benefits of working within the hospitality industry.

Each open day is hosted at a Proper Pub and led by the business development manager and a recruitment executive for the area. This aims to provide individuals with the opportunity to learn more about the pub industry and gain firsthand insights into the benefits of the Proper Pubs model.

"I am delighted that we have launched this initiative to showcase what Proper Pubs is all about and what we can offer prospective operators," says Ceri Radford, head of recruitment at Admiral Taverns. "With the pub and brewing industries alone supporting almost 1m jobs across the UK, there is so much potential for those interested in running a community pub and this provides a great opportunity for anyone considering running their own pub to learn more about what it is like working with Proper Pubs. No experience is necessary and we look forward to welcoming visitors from across the country."

Over the last 12 months, the number of Proper Pubs increased from 160 to over 200.
