Large pub operators ranked by CGA feedback

Brunning & Price has topped CGA by NIQ’s annual PubTrack rankings.

A consumer tracking service has unveiled its latest rankings of Britain’s biggest pub operators, based on guest satisfaction, revisit potential and recommendation scores.

Brunning & Price, part of The Restaurant Group, has topped CGA by NIQ's annual PubTrack rankings as Britain’s top pub operator for a second year in a row. It is joined in the top five by St Austell Brewery, Hydes Anvil, Youngs and Everards.

The Restaurant Group pub division also tops the rankings when measured solely by guest recommendation ratings, ahead of Young's and St Austell.

Hydes Anvil scores highest according to guest satisfaction scores, with Brunning & Price and JW Lees in second and third places. City Pub Company achieves the highest likelihood of revisit, ahead of St Austell and JD Wetherspoon.

Pub and Bar Groups of the Year

Pub & Bar recently announced a partnership with CGA as part of this year's National Pub & Bar Awards. Through exclusive feedback given by 20,000 consumers, the annual event will crown the Pub Group of the Year and the Bar Group of the Year.

While the latest rankings from CGA focus on larger groups, the National Pub & Bar Awards accolades will be based on a wider pool of large, medium and small group operators, with a more detailed set of metrics contributing to each ranking.

The results will be announced at the Grand Final on Wednesday 26 June, where the 94 County Winners of 2024 will gather to see which venues will be named as Regional Winners.
