The Delaunay Bar launches new cocktail menu

The Delaunay Bar in Covent Garden pays homage to the glamour 1930s theatre.

A bar in the heart of London's Covent Garden has announced the launch of its new cocktail menu, consisting of elegant serves that pay homage to the 'golden age' of the stage in the 1930s.

Innovative tipples

The latest serves at The Delaunay Bar are inspired by the glamour of starlets and theatre productions of a bygone era. Drinks include the Hay Fever, featuring Chase punk grapefruit and pomelo gin, Italicus, Campari, rose and grapefruit cordial – a citrus-based serve taking its cue from Noel Coward's comedy of manners.

The Rio Rita features Don Julio Blanco tequila, sauternes, jasmine, lime and mint, matching the vim and vigour of the Western-style plot from the play of the same name.

Additional cocktails include Gielgud, The Magic Flute, My Fair Lady and Wonder Bar, also inspired by West End productions.

With a menu that reflects the changing tastes and cultural relevance of their times, The Delaunay Bar from The Wolseley Hospitality Group is well placed for pre- and post-theatre drinks.
