Liberation Group appoints new ops director

Liberation Group has announced the appointment of Simon Griffiths as operations director, responsible for overseeing operations for Butcome Pubs & Inns in England and Liberation Pubs & Bars on the Channel Islands. 

Launching his hospitality career in 1999m Griffiths worked his way through the ranks of Loch Fyne, eventually moving into an operations manager role where he was responsible for the group's hotels, increasing occupancy and average daily rates to record levels. 

Griffiths moved into pubs in 2018, looking after sites in Kensington, Knightsbridge, Chelsea and Bayswater. He joined Premium & Urban Pubs South as operations manager in 2020, overseeing pubs on the south coast. He started working for Liberation Group in December.
