Raymond Blanc's The White Brasserie Company will be opening a new venue in Parkstone, Poole, in October.

The group, which names the renowned chef as a director, has taken over the former Maison Sax site and will return the venue to its former glory as a traditional pub.

The Britannia is set to open on 17 October following an extensive refurbishment, and will bring 55 new jobs to the area.

As with the other White Brasserie sites, the menu will feature traditional pub classics with French influences.

The group already has two venues in the local area in The Oaks in Highcliffe and Brasserie Blanc in Bournemouth.

“The Britannia represents our third venue in the region," says Richard Ferrier, managing director of Brasserie Bar Co (the parent company of The White Brasserie and Brasserie Blanc). "It is a fantastic space and we hope it will be a popular destination for locals and visitors alike with inviting spaces for food and drink, fun interiors and cosy snugs, as well as a stunning garden. We can’t wait to throw the doors open on 17 October.”
