Pro golfer visits three St Andrews pubs

Former professional golfer Nick Dougherty has paid a visit to three pubs in the St Andrews area.

To celebrate The 150th Open Championship at St Andrews, former professional golfer and Sky Sports presenter Nick Dougherty has paid a visit to three pubs in the area.

The Jigger Inn, otherwise known as the most famous 19th hole in golf; The Dunvegan Inn; and The Keys Bar, one of the oldest bars in St Andrews, which offers over 300 whiskies, will all be expecting a boost to their business as golf and sports fans descend on the Scottish town for the tournament.

To mark the occasion, Dougherty chatted to the licensees of these pubs to find out what makes their venues so special, not just to the visiting fans, who come back time after time, but to their local communities too.

Dougherty's visits were captured within a five-minute film as part of Sky’s Everyone Loves A Local campaign, which focuses on local pubs and bars through the love of sport.
