Licensed Trade Charity – here for you in sickness and in health

The last few weeks have seen the welcome return to work for a lot of the hospitality industry. While many of us have been looking forward to it, it has highlighted that some of us might not be quite as a fit as we were pre-lockdown. Aching feet and sore backs, that uniform fitting a little snugger than before, not to mention a few sleepless nights worrying about changes or remembering old systems, and a lot of us aren’t feeling quite as sparkly as we’d like to.

Fortunately, the Licensed Trade Charity is on hand to help you get into the physical and mental shape you’d like to be in. It also offers support for more serious health issues such as coping with disability, dealing with chronic illness, injury or substance dependency as well as helping you access mobility aids and offering financial support to give you time to recover after an operation.

Through the Charity’s free 24/7 helpline and website, which provides help sheets, everyone working in the drinks trade can get a range of support and information on health, money, housing, education, training and mental health too.

If you are concerned about your health, or that of a colleague, contact the Licensed Trade Charity. There’s no membership fee, all support is free and available for life. So, whether you’ve done your first shift, or you have a lifetime of drinks trade experience behind you, the Charity is here to help.
