Pub to host high-end dining series

Heft is set to launch a series of unique monthly dining experiences throughout 2021.

Heft, the new pub business overseen by chef Kevin Tickle, is set to launch a series of unique monthly dining experiences throughout 2021.

Anticipating the reopening of the hospitality industry, Tickle and his wife Nicola have booked in a number of high-end chefs to make up a guest series of dinners from June this year. The couple are reportedly on the verge of announcing a reopening date.

The full line-up can be seen below, but guest chefs include Michael Wignall of The Angel at Hetton, Skipton; Lisa Goodwin-Allen of Northcote, Langho; and Mark Birchall of Moor Hall, Aughton.

The Tickles collected the keys to the historic 17th century inn in Newton-in-Cartmel in late summer 2020 and are now close to finishing the renovation of the building, which, when it opens, will be transformed into a stylish inn with rooms.

"We’ve worked really hard since August last year to make our dream come to life and we’re nearly there," says Kevin. "To help push us over the line we’ve joined forces with some friends who just happen to be some of the UK’s top chefs to create a series of unique dining experiences, which people will be able to enjoy with us at Heft. Each experience will see myself and the guest chef cook a totally unique menu for our guests to enjoy, after which they’ll be able to join us at the bar for a pint and have a natter about the dishes we’ve cooked for them. Tickets for each experience are limited, so people will need to get in there pretty quickly to avoid disappointment.”
