The Falcon on Falkland Road in Hull has reopened following a major investment of £264,000.
Led by operator Bella Wilkinson (pictured), the pub is part of Proper Pubs, community wet-led operator division of Admiral Taverns, which has more than 200 pubs across England, Scotland and Wales.
Inside, the pub has been transformed with a complete internal redecoration, including a full refit of the function room and bar area which now boasts a new TV system ready to show live sport.
In addition, The Falcon's new colour scheme is aligned with the Hull Rovers kit to enhance the atmosphere when fans watch their local team. Customers can also enjoy a games room, complete with a new double dartboard, as well as a pool and a dominoes area.
"The refurbishment at The Falcon looks fantastic and it was wonderful to see how brilliantly opening weekend went – Bella and the team have been a pleasure to work alongside throughout this whole process," says Matthew Gurney, operations director for Proper Pubs. "On behalf of the Proper Pubs, we would like to wish our community hero, Bella, every success in making The Falcon a fantastic hub of the community."
What's on offer?
The Falcon offers Wine Wednesday, where customers can get £2 off a bottle; Fizz Friday, offering customers a bottle of fizz for £10; along with cocktails, and bottle and shot deals throughout the week.
On top of the drink offers, The Falcon runs a schedule of entertainment, including regular karaoke, live music, quiz nights and DJ sets, as well as hosting regular pool and darts teams. Wilkinson also hopes to introduce a regular series of fundraising events for causes close to the hearts of the local community.
