Heartwood Collection opens second pub with rooms
The Ropemaker in Emsworth joins The White Horse in Dorking as Heartwood Collection’s second pub with rooms.
A UK pub operator has officially launched its second pub with rooms, following the completion of the venue's multi-million-pound refurbishment.
The Ropemaker in Emsworth is part of the Heartwood Collection portfolio. It joins the group's original pub with rooms, The White Horse in Dorking, which opened to the public in February. The group has three further locations confirmed to launch this year, in line with the company's plan to grow to over 60 sites and more than 500 bedrooms by 2027.

Led by the Concorde BGW Group, the former hotel has been transformed into a characterful pub with 43 boutique bedrooms. The ground floor has been reconfigured and opened up to accommodate a central island bar, feature fireplace and spacious dining room.
Outside, a terrace has been created to the front while the garden to the rear has been landscaped to provide additional seating. The garden also houses three heated beach huts for private dining.
The 43 bedrooms have been refurbished to incorporate Heartwood's signature style, nodding to the pub's coastal location and Victorian heritage. They range from 'snug' to 'really fancy' with prices starting from £100 per night.
Richard Ferrier, Heartwood Collection CEO, comments: "Following the successful opening of The White Horse, we are hugely excited to be opening our second pub with rooms in Emsworth. We have been delighted with the welcome we have received from the Emsworth community and are looking forward to the opening of three further pubs with rooms scheduled to open in 2024."
