Barbecue competition launched for pub chefs
The Great British BBQ Battle is a brand-new competition for the sector.
A new cook-off competition has been launched to showcase the barbecuing skills of pub chefs around the UK.
The Great British BBQ Battle is now open for entries, with chefs from pubs, bars and restaurants able to submit their ultimate signature barbecue dishes for the event.
Entries for the competition are free and can be made online at the Great British BBQ Battle website.
Once entries close on Friday 15 March, the recipes will be whittled down to select 16 finalists to compete in a live final in London on 20 May this year.
One the day, the 16 finalists will go through a series of barbecue challenges, including cooking their signature dish in front of a panel of industry judges and a live audience.
Pub chefs interested in submitting their signature barbecue dish can do so via the entry website.
