Kimbolton pub reopens for business

Wells & Co’s The New Sun Inn has reopened following a major transformation.

Situated in the Cambridgeshire civil parish village of Kimbolton, The New Sun Inn has been through a complete refurbishment both inside and out, including new seating, furnishings and a newly configured garden space.

As well as a fresh look, The New Sun Inn reopened with a new summer menu from head chef and former MasterChef contestant Robert Thompson, who took part in the series in 2019. 

“I’m so excited to be able to reopen The New Sun Inn," says landlady Naomi Abbott. "I know just how popular this pub can be and with a complete new look and feel to the place, we wanted to give the people of Kimbolton a pub they can be proud of and we’ve achieved just that.”

Wells & Co has an estate of 190 pubs in the UK and 17 in France. In June 2017, it sold its brewery on Havelock Street and most of its brands to Marston’s PLC.
