Leonardo Hotels to open rooftop bar

Leonardo Hotels UK & Ireland has announced that Sabine – its first London rooftop bar – will open on 20 May. 

Located on the seventh floor of the Leonardo Royal Hotel London St Paul’s on Godliman Street, the 415 sq m, 200-cover botanical bar has been developed in collaboration with hospitality consultancy Gorgeous Group.

With its own entrance and express lift, Sabine has a feature oval-shaped island bar at its centre, plus two al-fresco terraces, both overlooking St Paul’s Cathedral, one with a retractable roof for all-weather drinking and dining.

"As we continue to increase our presence in the UK, we are delighted to add a destination bar to our portfolio," says Jason Carruthers, managing director of Jurys Inn & Leonardo Hotels UK and Ireland. "Sabine’s expansive rooftop terraces and views over St Paul’s will offer just the space that Londoners are looking for as the country moves out of lockdown.”

The bar's menu features accessible and seasonally-changing small plates, such as burrata with white peach, pistachio and toast; chilli and lemon crab sticks with brown crab ketchup; and larger sharers of grilled octopus with Mojo Rojo sauce. Cocktails, like the décor, take a botanical theme, and sit alongside a range of craft beers, local gins, premium spirits, wines and champagnes.
