LabTech, owner of Camden Market, has announced it will welcome a new neighbourhood pub and restaurant to the area this spring.
Spanning 2,100 sq ft, The Farrier will be Camden Market’s first ever pub and restaurant, featuring a hidden courtyard with outdoor heating and a fire pit.
Founded by George Hartshorn, Chris Gibson and Ollie Patterson, who have collectively worked in the hospitality and music industries for over 30 years, The Farrier aims to bring 'a touch of northern charm' to the north London hospitality scene.
“Some might call us crazy to be opening a new pub and restaurant during such uncertain times," says Patterson. "It’s definitely been a rollercoaster of a challenge. But when London comes out the other side, which we’re confident it will, The Farrier will be ready to welcome Londoners with open arms for quality comfort food, wine and good times."
The 90-cover pub and restaurant will focus on modern, rustic dining, overseen by chef Ash Finch. Offering a seasonal menu, dishes will include everything from game pie and beef fat-cured mackerel, to wild smoked pigeon and salt baked squash.
The Farrier will also showcase a floor-to-ceiling wine wall with a sliding ladder, and the drinks menu will feature organic wines from small producers and wineries from around the world.
