Heartwood pub shares its festive schedule plans
The Prince of Wales in East Barnet has revealed its schedule for the festive season.
The Prince of Wales in East Barnet, a Heartwood Inn, has revealed its schedule for the festive season - it's first since reopening earlier this year.
The pub has created packed programme of festive events designed to bring the local community together and inspire other pub and bar operators to do the same.
Thursday 11 December
The Prince of Wales will welcome the Peroni team as part of the 12 Pubs of Christmas trail, bringing live carols and festive giveaways. Designated drivers dining at the pub can enjoy a complimentary Peroni 0.0%, raising a toast to responsible drinking this Christmas.
Friday 12 December
Christmas Market & Best Dressed Dog Competition. The car park will transform into a winter wonderland, with a market showcasing up to 10 local stallholders selling handmade gifts, artisan trinkets and festive favourites. Families can enjoy a visit from Father Christmas, as well as mulled wine, seasonal treats and a prize-winning dog catwalk, with raffle tickets for anyone wearing a Christmas jumper.
Friday 19 December
Music lovers can return for an evening of Community Carol Singing on Friday 19 December. Led by the priest at the nearby St Mary’s Church, guests can gather by the fire for classic carols, mulled wine and a complimentary mince pie with every mulled wine purchased at the pub.
Quiz nights and happy hours
The Prince of Wales will continue to host its ever-popular Monday Quiz Night throughout the season. Every Monday at 7.30pm, teams can test their trivia for just £3 per person, with a £50 voucher up for grabs and a rolling jackpot that keeps growing until someone claims it.
Happy Hours will also be running from 5-7pm Sunday-Friday, with two-for-one seasonal drinks.
"This is our very first Christmas here in East Barnet, and we really wanted to make it special," says general manager Rory McMonagle. "These events are all about celebrating the wonderful community we serve. Whether you’re browsing the market, joining us for carols, or simply enjoying a drink with us, we’re so excited to welcome everyone in for our favourite time of the year."
