National Burger Awards 2026 open for entries

Pub and bar businesses are invited to submit their ultimate burger recipes

Operators from across the UK restaurant, QSR, and pub and bar sectors are now able to submit their ultimate burger recipes into the National Burger Awards, as the annual cook-off makes a grand return to London’s Big Penny Social in March.

Back for a 12th year, the highly anticipated competition will spotlight the nation’s top burgers, with competitors set to face-off in a live cooking showdown in front of a panel of expert industry judges.

To fly high at next year’s event, chefs and operators must select their most impressive burger and enter it online for free at nationalburgerawards.co.uk. Following the entry process, 16 signature recipes will be selected to compete at the final.

On top of the signature round, the winner of which will claim the National Burger of the Year crown, competitors will take part in a technical challenge that will see them construct the best burger from a range of sponsor ingredients, and will also be tasked with creating the most delicious plant-based burger in a round sponsored by Redefine Meat.

“Here we are on the precipice of year number 12 of the National Burger Awards,” says Tristan O’Hana, editorial director of Dine Out magazine, which hosts the event. “Seeing this burger bonanza grow over the years has been inspiring – somehow it just keeps on getting bigger and better. We’re sure that 2026 will be no exception and we can’t wait to see what recipes we receive during the entry process.”

Entries close on 30 January, with the live final set to take place on Tuesday 24 March 2026.

Head to nationalburgerawards.co.uk and submit your signature recipe today.
