Country Creatures to open second Double Red Duke
The Double Red Duke will open a second site in Bicester Village.
Sam and Georgie Pearman (pictured), the husband and wife operators of the Country Creatures group, will open a second Double Red Duke site in November.
The Double Red Duke at Bicester Village will be based on the original site in Clanfield, where Country Creatures also operates the Mason's Arms pub.
"Opening The Double Red Duke at Bicester Village allows us to bring that same spirit," says Georgie. "Good food, good company and a sense of belonging, of course alongside some incredible shopping too."
The original Double Red Duke is a 17th-century coaching inn reimagined as a boutique hotel and restaurant. The duo will now be bringing Clanfield to Bicester Village, complete with its British style, seasonal cooking and hospitality.
At the double
The kitchen will feature cooking over flame and seasonal British produce.
Beginning with bar snacks, the menu includes chipolatas with mustard, Westcombe cheddar toastie with pickled walnut, and a sausage roll, alongside starters and small plates of beef tartare with beef dripping toast, and wood fire baked scallops with chervil and tarragon butter.
With the mains, the team will be serving up some familiar favourites, including fish and chips with peas and tartare sauce, and pies with mash, greens and gravy.
Served straight from the grill will be a selection of meats, including flat iron steak, veal chop and rotisserie half chicken, with burnt lemon and garlic mayonnaise.
"We’ve always believed in creating spaces that feel generous, relaxed and beautifully made," adds Sam.
Country Creatures and the Mason's Arms recently took part in the 2025 Classic Cocktail Competition, where young bartender Noah Macer won the Pornstar Martini of the Year award.
