Laine to rebrand award-winning Clapham pub
Laine Pub Company has transformed the Four Thieves in Clapham.
On 1 November, the Four Thieves in Clapham will reopen as The Thieves, following a major investment from The Laine Pub Company to reimagine the venue.
Laine says the 500-capacity site, which was once a National Pub & Bar Awards winner, has been transformed into a modern, "multi-layered playhouse”.
As part of the relaunch, The Thieves is teaming up with 'story-driven entertainment engineers' House of Dinosaur and Twisted Time Machine to offer interactive parties, cabaret performances, DJ sets and themed dining experiences.
As with the Four Thieves, an upstairs arcade will still be in operation, which is to be known as The Thieves Gambit.
"The launch of The Thieves reflects Laine Pub Co’s commitment to redefining what a modern entertainment venue can be," says Russ Danks, managing director at Laine Group. "Through significant investment in design, programming and food, we are creating a pub that delivers immersive experiences, unforgettable nights and a new benchmark for hospitality in south London in an undeniably Laine fashion. We can't wait to ignite the moment for Clapham and beyond."
Renovation time
The venue has been renovated, and the bar now takes centre stage at the front, a new performance platform ensures live music is visible from every corner, and expanded booth seating provides bookable spaces for parties and private events.
Food will also play a central role, with Balans providing an all-day menu featuring brunch, sharing plates, salads, flatbreads, a signature burger and Sunday roasts.
The Thieves is part of Laine Pub Company’s portfolio of over 50 independent pubs and cultural venues.
