Heartwood opens its 33rd pub in Stratford-upon-Avon
Heartwood Inns has opened The Red Lion in Stratford-upon-Avon.
Heartwood Inns, the pub division of the Heartwood Group, has opened its 33rd site, as it continues with its fast-paced expansion programme.
The group opened The Red Lion in Stratford-upon-Avon on 23 September via a ceremony officiated by the mayor of Stratford-upon-Avon Dani Hunter. She was also joined by members of the Royal Shakespeare Company.
The pub has undergone a multi-million pound refurbishment to create 182 internal seats across the bar and dining room, with an additional 386 external seats created in the garden.
Under the leadership of general manager Ritesh Shetty and head chef Vikki Kumar, guests can now enjoy a seasonally changing menu in line with Heartwood’s three star rating from the Sustainable Restaurant Association.
"We are absolutely delighted to be bringing this iconic pub back to life in a truly special town," says Richard Ferrier, CEO of Heartwood Collection (pictured). "Following a sympathetic refurbishment of the bar, restaurant and the spectacular garden, we are proud to be joining this vibrant and historic community."
Heartwood Collection now operates 33 Heartwood Inns pubs and 14 Brasserie Blanc restaurants across the UK.
