Pétanque concept Boulebar strengthens management

Two high profile appointments have been made at Boulebar.

Two high profile appointments have been made in the management teams of Boulebar, the London-based social concept that revolves around the game of pétanque.

Ieva Mikelionyte has joined the team as a general manager for the brand, covering its South Bank and Spitalfields sites, while Jake Hawkins joins as venue manager for Boulebar South Bank.

The social concept brings the French game of pétanque with a food and drink offer (pictured). The business, led by Alec Feakes, now spans 13 venues across six cities and three countries, with new openings on the horizon.

"We are excited to welcome Ieva as part of our growth plans," says Feakes. "Boulebar UK has grown fast in two short years and with two amazing venues, a bigger team and exciting plans ahead, Ieva’s here to make sure we keep the energy high and the experience unforgettable through world-class service standards and operational excellence."

Before Boulebar...

Mikelionyte previously worked to expand Daisy Green at several venues, and most recently at Phil Howard's Notto Pasta Bars as operations manager. She has also worked in senior roles at Carluccios and Gaucho.

Following the recent launch of the Spitalfields site, Mikelionyte will focus on promoting the new space, growing its audience and ensuring the highest standards of experience and delivery while strengthening the overall brand presence in the market.

Hawkins has a background in competitive socialising, including at Swingers Crazy Golf. He also trained at The Alchemist, a finalist of the 2025 Classic Cocktail Competition
