Quality Inns son takes on first pub
Red Hogben is reopening The Three Horseshoes in Frampton on Severn.
The son of a multiple-pub-operating couple has followed in his parents footsteps, taking on The Three Horseshoes in Frampton on Severn, Gloucestershire.
The village pub is preparing for a revival under the new ownership of 29-year-old Redford 'Red' Hogben, son of Alison and Easton Hogben of Quality Inns, which operates 15 hospitality businesses across Gloucestershire and Devon.
It's a full circle moment for the Hogben family, as Red’s grandfather, Ron Hogben, was landlord of The Three Horseshoes from 1978 to 1987, making this purchase especially personal.
"I’m excited to bring The Horseshoes back to life and back into our family again," says Red. "It has played an important role in the village for generations, and to be part of the pub’s next chapter feels special.
"I want the pub to retain its community roots and hope that locals and visitors to the village will enjoy a relaxed atmosphere, great local ales and, in time, a proper pub menu featuring real English food wherever possible."
The pub is currently undergoing a refurbishment, with a soft launch planned for October 2025.
