Eat Momo arrives at The Pyrotechnists Arms

Eat Momo has launched at The Pyrotechnists Arms in Nunhead.

Pub goers in south east London have a new kitchen residency to enjoy, as Eat Momo launches at The Pyrotechnists Arms in Nunhead.

Founded by sisters Trishna and Dipa Chamling, Eat Momo is a tribute to their childhood in Nepal, with the food centred around the steamed dumplings.

Alongside its Borough Yards home, Eat Momo will now be serving six days a week at The Pyrotechnists Arms.

The menu includes the signature steamed momo, along with pan-fried and chilli momo filled with either chicken or pork, flavoured with coriander and spices. The vegetable and paneer momo features ginger, and they are all served with tomato achar and chilli sauce.

With each dish drawing inspiration from regional recipes found across Nepal, snacks include Dalmot - made with besan flour, peanuts, fried lentils and ajwain, and Aalu ko achar - made with potato, cucumber, carrot, red onion, sesame and nigella seeds.

"It is a pleasure to bring our momo further south, The Pyro holds so much history in Nunhead and I hope our new guests will enjoy our momo with a pint as much as we do," says Trishna. "Our passion is bringing the tradition and rituals of Momo-making to London so we’re delighted to be expanding with a great team."
