Dhillon’s Brewery to launch Coventry food hall

Dhillon’s Brewery has set out plans for a new food hall in Coventry.

Having recently celebrated its 10th anniversary, Dhillon’s Brewery has set out plans for further growth, starting with a new food hall in Coventry.

The Dal Dhillon-led brewery, which already operates Dhillon’s Brewery in Longford, Spire Bar and Sky Blue Tavern, has revealed it is in advanced plans to launch Elle’s Foodhall, a 7,000 sq ft venue at Coventry’s train station that will feature local food vendors, barista coffee and a bar.

The business also runs three sites within Coventry Building Society Arena.

"Over the course of the last decade, we have constantly been looking at opportunities for growth – whether that is through our range of beers, agreeing partnerships or opening new venues," says Dhillon, who founded the business in 2015. "As the brewery celebrates its 10th birthday, we will be looking to take the business to the next level and the opportunity at Elle’s Foodhall is a major part of that strategy.

"We're really grateful to be working with the city on the Two Friargate project and will be opening our doors at the end of the year. There are also other units opening outside of Coventry, with more details to follow early next year."

Ten years in the making

While celebrating its decade milestone, Dhillon’s Brewery ran a series offers and giveaways through July to thank its community of loyal customers.

One hundred free beers were served at each of its venues every Friday at 5pm and thousands of prizes were made available on Dhillon’s scratch cards that were given away for free.

"Dhillon’s Brewery has grown from a start-up to a thriving, award-winning business that is at the heart of the visitor economy here in Coventry," adds Paul McMahon, managing director of Destination Coventry. "It’s a privilege to work with Dhillon’s Brewery as a key partner in promoting the city."
