Bar Lina teams up with Tyler Zielinski
Inspired by Zielinski’s best-selling book Tiny Cocktails: The Art of Miniature Mixology, the menu reimagines Italian classics in miniature form.
This summer, Bar Lina, the Italian bar by restaurant and delicatessen brand Lina Stores, will launch a limited collection of tiny cocktails in collaboration with acclaimed bartender and author, Tyler Zielinski.
Inspired by Zielinski’s best-selling book Tiny Cocktails: The Art of Miniature Mixology, and the current rise in interest for compact, flavour-forward serves, the new menu reimagines Italian classics in miniature form.
Bar Lina is inspired by 1960s to 1980s Italy, with locations in Shoreditch, Manchester, Soho and, most recently, Canary Wharf. Each bar features a monochromatic, dark red colour scheme with glossy accents, setting the perfect backdrop for the tiny cocktail menu.
Small but mighty
Available from 30 July, the tiny cocktails menu will bring together Zielinski’s signature style with Bar Lina’s distinctively Italian approach to bold flavours. The menu will feature the Fragolino, an exclusive co-creation between Bar Lina and Zielinski, comprising Karminia Red Vermouth, Bepi Tosolini's wild strawberry liqueur and black cherry kombucha. It sits alongside a mini version of Bar Lina’s famous Bloody Martini – a vivid, tomato-forward take on a vodka martini, made with Altamura Vodka, tomato water and Mancino Secco.
Rounding out the trio is Zielinski’s own creation, the Art of Simplicity, a signature recipe from his book, consisting of Italicus Rosolio di Bergamotto Liqueur, grapefruit sherbet, a splash of prosecco and finished with an olive garnish.
"Tiny cocktails are the perfect format for bold or rich, or even caffeinated serves that are best enjoyed in tinier doses, ensuring cocktail lovers can maximise experiencing heaps of flavour at bars without the overindulgence or having to break the bank," says Zielinski.
"Having the opportunity to collaborate with Lina Stores and Bar Lina, and have one of the serves from my book, The Art of Simplicity, featured on their menu is quite special. I'm looking forward to guests delving into this fashionable way of low-ABV drinking at the bars where The Art of Simplicity is featured, and can't wait to see one of my tiny tipples in the wild."
